Who we are

Aura is a personal AI assistant service operated by Embankment Labs. Questions: aura@embankmentlabs.com.

What we collect

• Account details you provide (name, email, phone) and billing metadata from our payment provider
• Messages and content you send to Aura on connected channels (for example WhatsApp)
• Optional connected services you authorise (for example Google Calendar free/busy or events)
• Technical logs needed to run and secure the service (timestamps, device/channel identifiers, error diagnostics)

How we use data

• To provide, operate, and improve Aura for you
• To authenticate you and connected apps you choose to link
• To send service messages (setup, security, billing) and assistant replies you request
• To help arrange meetings when you ask — guests may temporarily share calendar free/busy only
• We do not sell your personal data
• We do not use your private content to train third-party foundation models for their general products

Sharing

We use processors that help us run the product (hosting, email, SMS, payments, model providers you use or that we provision for you). They may process data only to provide those services. We may disclose information if required by law or to protect safety and security.

Retention and deletion

We keep account and service data while your account is active and for a limited period afterwards as needed for billing, security, and legal obligations. Temporary guest calendar access for meeting coordination is intended to expire after a time is agreed or the invite lapses. You can request account deletion from your account settings or by emailing aura@embankmentlabs.com.

Your choices

You can disconnect Google or other connectors, pause proactive messages where available, and request access or deletion of your account data. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy law (including UK GDPR / EU GDPR).
